A LEVITATING DESIGN
“The collection is an architectural piece composed of several modules that allow endless configurations”, explains Francesc Rifé, the designer of the collection. Pal is made from a base of solid teak wood from sustainably managed forests that acts as a platform slightly raised off the ground thanks to adjustable, invisible legs. The seats and cushions are placed on top of it. “The resulting effect is that of a sinuous block that almost appears to be floating”, adds Rifé. The modular system makes it possible to construct anything from sun loungers to sofas or individual seats with a wide variety of waterproof fabrics and colors. The series is complemented by coffee tables of different sizes, also in teak, and a side table that arises from the base of the sofa.
